Setting: Jefferson & Jefferson – a 1960s advertising agency in New York.
The volatile but successful Frank and Rachel Jefferson run the Jefferson agency as if it were two warring fiefdoms.
Their competiveness not only threatens the company but drags in their employees. The brilliant ad exec Nancy and her friend the photographer and ideas man Simon end up fighting head to head to win the American Airlines account and best use its current top celebrity representative: the Korean dictator Kim Jong Il.
Note: The setting was suggested by a married couple who run an advertising agency. They said they found it unsettling familiar.
